Just so you know, it wasn’t you. It was me.
Totally me.
Let’s just say it’s been a season. Anyone else been in a season? You know, those times where life just sucks and you have to find the grit to stay engaged and press on. The times you shake your head and say, “What the heck was that?” The times that feel so yucky you cuss a little more than you should, and snark comes way too naturally (and too often).
Yeah… that.
The truth is that real life has been real hard, and I lost my voice. But you can’t ever count me out. Because I’m just stubborn enough to claw my way back to humanity with enough words to make up for lost time.
And it’s time to let ’em rip.
I’m so excited to be teaming up on a new podcast with my friend Jami Amerine who wrote Stolen Jesus… a book that made me giggle more times than the remake of Jumanji (seriously, Kevin Hart is hilarious in it). She is snark-personified and as real as it gets. And she makes me laugh a lot. And challenges me to be braver than I feel sometimes. And I’m okay with both.
Our NEW podcast is called Stuff Left Said: Authentic Talk We Can’t Take Back. And we’re gonna throw down some truth, girlfriend. We’re gonna unpack some of those nitty and gritty topics that we’re all trying to navigate, like:
- the times we feel misunderstood, and want to eat our feelings,
- how to embrace our new normal, even when we hate it,
- how to stop writing crazy stories in our mind and live in reality,
- seeing the problem with worshipping Christian celebrities,
- how our hormones try so hard to be the boss of us,
- … and so much more.
And here’s what I love the most. We want to be solution-oriented. Not in the I-have-all-the-answers-and-you-don’t kind of way, but in the we’re-all-in-this-together kind of way. We’ll provide the rant with the resolution.
This isn’t your ordinary podcast.
But it’s for ordinary, everyday, totally-awesome people… just like you and me.
And if you click the image to the left, it will take you to the Facebook page where you can find the all the details when they release in the next few weeks. Just make sure to “like” the page.
I also wanted to tell you about my new book coming out July 1st.
It’s titled Unafraid: Be you. Be authentic. Find the grit and grace to shine.
It’s part of the UN-series, following Untangled and Uncommon.
It’s available for pre-order now, if you’re wanting to be part of the Un-Crowd.
I’m just sayin’…
It feels good to connect with you again. Thanks for loving me in my silence… and for waiting me out. Gosh, you’re amazing. And persistent. Oh I like you.
I really, really, really hope you’ll give the podcast a chance. We’re committed to real conversations without the Christian-eze. Honest talk without the tacky. Authentic discussions without the doldrums. Legit banter without bad-mouthing.
And launch day is right around the corner…

I am so grateful to find your 7 day devotional “Be Unafraid to Be You!” It spoke directly to me. I just had to find out more about you! I need more encouragement from you. Thank you very much for sharing your inspiration and reminding me that I am more than the mess and bad decisions I have made. I try everyday to listen to what God wants me to do. And this came at just the perfect time as I deal with a neighbor issue ? I am reminded that God is still working on my character. Again thank you so much & I look forward to reading more of your writings ❤️?
