Sometimes, I stumble across the power-packed words typed out by amazing women of God and get chill bumps. I read… and reread… and chew on what they have to say.
Because it’s so good.
But some weeks, it’s taken up a notch. And my chill bumps are accompanied by a loud “AMEN!” as I do a boot-scootin’ boogie across my floor.
The words these women share feel more anointed. More personal. More honest.
Like this week.
And I was so moved by these blogs, that I wanted to make sure YOU had the chance to read them too. Sometimes it’s awfully noisy out there in cyber-land, and we miss some great material.
So here you go, friend.
Hand-delivered, just for you:
This woman is one of my favorite writers because she is so stinkin’ honest about her challenges and struggles. She is brave, and I totally dig that.
But what I really love about this blog is the bold reminder of just how powerful the name of Jesus is. Because when we utter His name… the earth trembles. Have you ever felt it?
Oh just typing that gives me goose bumps. Do you pray in His name? Do you talk about what Jesus has done in your life? Do you recognize His fingerprints in your situation? Oh He is so good to us. And His name is above all else.
This blog by Stasi Eldredge made me stand up… and clap… and let our a big ole “whoop” in my own home. And it greatly annoyed my cats.
Have you ever felt like the devil has the upper hand in your life — like he is running the show and your suffering is all because of him? Does it seem that no matter how good you are, bad follows you around like a little puppy? (But not as cute as a real puppy, obviously)
Geeze… I have.
Sometimes life is a stinky pile of poo. And instead of waiting for God to intervene, we look at our messy situation and give Satan the credit.
But Anne Graham Lotz — who is an amazing truth-teller and as bold as can be — reminds us of the way it really is.
And you’re gonna love what she has to say in her blog.
It’s not an secret that community is vital to our mental health, and God created us to live and thrive in it.
I don’t know if you could say the same for you, but my girlfriends have saved me thousands in therapy bills… maybe more. And one of the best ways we support each other is by reminding the weary of their worth.
Because the world is quick to remind us we’re nothing special.
Sister, are you desperate for a reminder that you matter… and that you are good enough even when that truth seems impossible to believe?
Well look no further, because this (in)courage blog by Mary Carver will encourage you.
I wish we could grab a cup of coffee and talk about which one moved you the most. I’d love to unpack each of them with each of you, sharing those “wow” moments. And even more, I would ask what words-of-wisdom you’ve run across lately that have rocked your world.
You know what?
Why don’t you share a link to those amazing finds in the comments section below. And tell me how they spoke right into your heart.
Cuz I’d love to know.
