I’m in a relentless pursuit of healing.
This has been a long time coming. God has brought it to my attention so often. I’ve had many people unknowingly make me painfully aware of the need to be free.
I’m done. It’s time.
And I know God will faithfully heal me if I relentlessly pursue it. How do I know this? Because He is a God of restoration and scripture speaks of it often.
Psalm 30:2 is a great example of His willingness to step in and pull us out of our weaknesses, wounding and wallowing. It reads “O LORD my God, I cried out to you for help, and you healed me.”
Here’s what I love about this passage… when the psalmist cried for God to intervene and heal, He did. And since our God is unchanging and consistent, He will do that for us too.
But we have a part in it.
- We have to be active participants.
- We have to desire it enough to ask for it.
- We need to be vulnerable to others.
- We need to be willing to open ourselves up to receive it.
- We have to trust the process.
Scary. Terrifying. Humbling. Necessary.
Let’s get this party started.
Here’s is my suggestion on walking the path to healing. Maybe this will work for you.
- Begin by journaling about the issue that’s keeping you in bondage
- Pray, pray, pray for God to open your eyes wider to the issue and to show you what it’s cost to hold on to it or buy into it.
- Find a friend or two who can cover you and your process in prayer.
- Find scripture that directly speaks to you about your struggle (google “scripture on _____”)
- Continue to journal what God shows you or what He reveals through your friends.
I’m not guaranteeing a quick fix. I cannot promise an easy road. No one can do this for you.
It’s about you and God.
Sisters, I’m crying out to God to deliver me from my struggle with value and worth! It’s deep, dark and deceptive. It’s held me captive for as long as I can remember. It’s wrapped around so many areas in my life.
I’m done with it.
Will you join me? Do you feel comfortable enough to leave a comment below and “out” the Enemy, if you will? Uncover his destructive plans in your life? Maybe you simply reply, “I’m in!”
Friends, it’s time to live the life God wants for us! Be the person He designed us to be. The Enemy’s free reign in that area of our lives needs to end and he needs to be put in his place.
Let’s relentlessly pursue healing. Who’s with me?

I am IN!!! and I see YOU! I too am claiming the TRUTH that I am worthy of God – His Love – His Blessing! Relentlessly!!! – as a dear friend recently said to me – they didn’t open the door because someone knocked once – they opened because the knocking didn’t end… To knock without ceasing!!! Love you girl – love your authenticity! and You are worthy – even without doing a darned thing! You just are!
careyscotttalks says
The knocking never ends… I love that so much! That is relentless!
Keisha says
I am so in! Submitting to Holy Spirit to help me out this ugly pride in me, in my mind. Pride will hinder deliverance, growth, and mind renewal. It will lead us straight down a path of destruction!
careyscotttalks says
Keisha, pride… wow, isn’t that a big one for all of us! I bless your journey to freedom, sister!
Debbie says
Carey, God bless you, girl — and He will!!! You are right, scripture speaks of the fact that God heals, and restores and transforms. He came to set the captive free and to give us LIFE and that in ABUNDANCE. I am praying for you in your journey. I know from experience about this journey and let me say you will be meeting God up close and personal. And, although it isn’t easy and it means snuggeling in VERY close with Him daily – forever, it is a thing of wonder and beauty. Life is so full of daily opportunities to work out that freedom :0) and I am grateful it IS God’s will for us. Hang tight to Him. Stand firm on the FACTS as He reveals through His word — believe what the counsel of His word says — and remember “No word of God’s will EVER fail” (Luke 1:37 NIV 2010). If God says it, you can stake your life on it! Lifting you befoe His throne, Debbie

Debbie… what would we do without the promises of God’s word? I will press in, and thank you for prayers!
Jeanelle says
So proud of you and your pursuit to freedom. It is worth the cost, the risk, the waiting. Pursue with a relentlessness – you will not even remember the pains of the journey as you are basking in the freedom and peace of being completely one with Him. I will join with you in prayer dear friend. I applaud your realness! Keep going deeper – refuse to settle for anything less than complete healing and restoration. Love you
careyscotttalks says
Jeanelle, this is all your fault. You walked in the back door of my well guarded fort… got me all stirred up… exposed those hidden places… and made me face them. Sister, thank you. Love you!

I’m in, Carey! I need healing from the same issues, and I need physical healing. There are so many things I want to do with what’s left of my life, and my health and perceptions are holding me back. Enough! I’m going after it, and I’ll be praying for you too, sister!
careyscotttalks says
Rebecca, glad we’re linking arms and walking this together. There is nothing like the righteous anger from a bunch of Jesus girls. Love you!
Laura says
I’m in!! I’m sooo frustrated that it’s the same issue for me, as well, over and over and over!!! I feel I get free of it but then I find myself right back in it!? Does that mean I take it back or I never really got rid of it?! What is it?!?! I’m sooo frustrated but I’m sooo willing to be relentless!!! Keep knocking! Will do! It’s gonna get awfully loud for Him in a real short time! Although, I’m pretty sure this is a sound he loves to hear!! 🙂
Love you Carey!! Thanks!
careyscotttalks says
Laura… it is going to get loud! Right on sister!!!
